The kids got their first official pet yesterday (we've had goldfish, but I don't think they count). A cute little teddy bear hamster. I was reluctant to have a rodent for a pet, but it's easier to take care of than a dog or cat (especially since Ethan is allergic). Cheaper, too. Isabel was fascinated with the little guy....she wanted to climb in that cage with him. The kids decided to name him MacGuyver. Yes, they watch that show.

how adorable! jason and i always wanted a hamster, but we never got one. we went through a couple of guinea pigs though!
I thought about letting them get a guinea pig, but I thought a hamster was a good start. Too bad they are nocturnal. Oh well.
How fun! I'm pretty sure that's a name that Ian & Audi would choose, they have two whole seasons memorized, lol!
