Kicking off the Holidays

We live in a small rural town that starts the holidays the weekend before Thanksgiving. Yesterday was their "kickoff" day. They put up all the Christmas lights around town and started the Christmas music which plays outside during business hours until the New Year. The library had various activities for children........there was a free children's movie at the movie theater........horse and carriage rides through the town..........different activities and snacks at each business..........and more.

The Ambulance Crew put on a soup supper. Since Joel is on the crew, he and Teya helped serve and clean all evening. Teya worked just as hard as everyone else.

Here we are in line for the horse and carriage ride.

(I apologize for the awful quality of both of these pictures. My batteries ran out right after I took this last picture, which made the quality terrible.)

I just realized that the reason those pictures are so blurry and terrible is that some small child with slimy fingers was touching the lens. Silly goobers.
