Teya is now the proud owner of a small chicken "farm." We just picked up 52 freshly-hatched baby chicks!

This shot is blurry, but still cute. The chicks were coming right up to the camera and pecking at it.....they are so curious!
This is Teya's big project (with Grandpa, Grandma, Dad and Mom guiding her). She has wanted to raise chickens for quite awhile and is thrilled that she finally has them. She will spend the summer caring for them and hopefully by Fall, she will have eggs to sell!

We are hoping we get a broody hen again soon. We also like having fresh eggs available everyday day :)

You're scoring some serious mom points with this one. It gives me a heart attack to think of attempting something like this!!
I guess we will have to stop by this summer and see how they are all doing, huh? You know...say...just after the 4 of July?
